Esto se merece un premio, así que, aunque no sé muy bien cómo organizarlo (primera vez...es lo que tiene) voy a sortear un cuadrito geisha, una bolsa Maripili y una sorpresita que espero que os guste, entre los comentarios que dejeis en este post.
Me gustaría que me contarais qué es para vosotros lo mejor que ha habido en el blog desde que lo conoceis... y si pensais que hay cositas que se pueden mejorar, ( también son bienvenidas las críticas constructivas).

This deserves a present, so although I'm not sure how to organize it (the first time ... is normal I guess) among the comments left in this post, I am giving away a framed geisha print, a maripili tote bag and a  little surprise I hope you like.

I.F. Prehistorical

Hace unos días, recibí un pedido de "camisetas prehistóricas", para un par de niñas amantes de los triceratops y otros dinosaurios.
Lo cual es perfecto para el tema de esta semana en ilustration friday ;P

He oido decir que les han encantado y me alegra que cumplan la misión para la que fueron creadas :D

A few days ago, I got an order for a set of "prehistorical t-shirts", for a couple of girls who love triceratops and other dinosaurs.Pefect for this week's Ilustration Friday topic :D

I've been told they just love them, so I'm happy they are just what they were intended for :P

Con la Playa en la cabeza...

 Con el frio y la humedad que hay últimamente por estas tierras sureñas, no sabeis lo bien que sienta pintar una camiseta así, pensando en la playa, las vacaciones, el sol calentándonos la piel, el sonido del mar y de los niños jugando.... ahhh!!! ¡¡qué bien!! ya llegará de nuevo, cuando sea el momento ;P
.... ahora lo que tengo frente a mí son un buen número de encargos para el día 21 y unas navidades blancas muy blancas y de seguro entrañables, ya que nuestra peque va a ver la nieve por primera vez en su vida :D
Espero que el año que entra sea tan bueno o más que éste.
Gracias a todos por vuestros comentarios, que de verdad que calientan mi ánimo como una buena taza de café en estas tardes taaan frias de invierno :D

In this cold and humed weather we have lately in this southern lands, you can imagine how good it feels to paint a T-shirt like this and think about the beach, the  holidays, the sun warming the skin, the sound of the ocean and children playing .. .. ahhh! How good! well, sommer will come again, when it is time ;P 

.... but now what I have before me are a good number of orders for December the 21st and a white, very white Christmas and surely very special, as our "little one" will see snow for the first time in her life :D
I hope the coming year is as good or more as this one has been.

Hocus Pocus... Boo!

 

Por lo visto hay por los alrededores una niña con 5 gatitos a la que le va a encantar su nueva camiseta :D, porque, además, me han dicho que es bastante pillina y un poco brujilla... jeje. Espero que la disfrute tanto o más que yo haciéndola :P

Apparently there is around a girl with 5 kittens that will love her new shirt: D, because, well, I've been told it's quite a bit tricky and witchy ... hehe. I hope she enjoies it as much or more than I did making it: P

coordinado de pajaritos

Una mamá de Logroño  y su bebé, van a ir muy conjuntadas a partir de ahora gracias al regalo que una amiga me ha encargado, esta tierna y gustosa (algodón orgánico) pareja de pajaritos. Espero que las disfruten mucho, mucho, mucho :D

In Logroño (La Rioja, north Spain) a mother and her baby will  look  terrific from now on thanks to the gift that a friend has ordered me.

I hope they enjoy this sweet and soft (organic cotton) pair of birdies a big big lot : D

Diversia 2010

 Por fin llegó Diversia 2010, y se pasó volando. Mi primer stand, mi primera feria (mi primera coloooniaaa chispas...) Gracias a la ayuda de amigas como Leti -la experiencia es un grado- Pitita, Viky, Marta y Cristina, el stand quedó más que decente (a mi me parece monísimo), llegué sólo con los nervios necesarios, tuve muy buena compañía y se vendió mejor de lo que esperaba, a pesar de las circunstancias, ya que era puente, llovía a cántaros y no hubo la publicidad que el evento merecia, lo cual, llevó a la escasez de público.
Pero como digo, el balance, finalmente es positivo, y no sólo por lo que vendí, sino por la gente que pudo conocer mi trabajo y los contactos que hice así como por la experiencia que he adquirido. La experiencia acaba con buen sabor de boca. :D
Las camisetas gustaron mucho, las postales se vendieron bien y las bolsas y las ilustraciones seriadas, aunque no tuvieron las ventas esperadas, sí que recibieron alabanzas, lo cual, me alegra, ya que son artículos nuevos y era el primer contacto con el público.

Gracias a todos los que visitasteis el stand, a los que comprasteis, a los que no, pero encargaron algo o tienen idea de hacerlo en algún momento, gracias a Marisa, que se pasó con su cámara y gracias a la cual hoy me conoce aún más gente (quedo a la espera del video para publicarlo aquí) y gracias a la revista Caimán.de y a Berthold y Dirk, gracias a los cuales pronto habrá una entrevista publicada en su revista. Estoy muy contenta y muy agradecida a todos vosotros, y, ni que decir tiene a mi familia y en especial a mi marido, sin cuya paciencia y ayuda diaria, nada de esto seria posible.

Finally Diversia 2010 came, and  time flew once again. My first stand, my first show (spanish joke ...) With the help of friends like Leti, your experience was so helpful- Pitita, Viky, Marta and Cristina, the stand was pretty decent (it seems gorgeous to me),  I had just the nerves needed, very nice company and went better than expected, despite the circumstances, as it was bank holliday, pouring rain and there wasn't all the publicity that the event deserved, which, led to the public shortage.But as I said, the balance is definetively positive, not only for what I sold, but for people who know my work  now , the contacts I made and the experience I have gained. The adventure ends with a good taste in the mouth  : D
Liked the T-shirts, postcards sold well and bags and serial illustrations, although sales were not what expected, where praised, of what I'm glad, because they are new articles and was their first contact with the public.

Thanks to all who visited the stand, to those who purchased articles, those who did not, but comissioned something or have the idea to do it at some point, thanks to Marisa, who came with her cameraman and through whom today still know me more people (I look forward to publish the video here) and thanks to the magazine Caimán.de,  Berthold and Dirk, for an interview which will soon be published in the magazine. I am very happy and very grateful to you all, and, needless to say my family and especially my husband, without whose patience and daily support, none of this would be possible.
